Christmas is originally one of the great dates of Christians. Nowadays, Christmas seems to be a chance for everyone giving each other presents and greetings. Last Christmas celebrated in my office was an opportunity to strengthen our solidarity.
The preparations for Christmas day usually start very premature. From the end of November, many houses and offices are decorated spectacularly to catch the customers’ attention. In our office, some skilled decorators are rent to decorate the outside and inside of building. They stick blue tinsel like color of Christmas tree around the edge of the large glass window enclose with black artificial pine cones and small red or white bells. At front door, the blue tinsel is also edge around, the decorators fold deftly pictures of pine tree. Inside, in the central of room is a big hand-made Christmas tree, the idea of which originally came from Germany. It is decorated with silver tinsel, glass balls of many different colors and little piece of cotton wool tied on to represent the snow found in the cold countries in winter. On the top, looking down on the tree with its myriads of tiny fairy lights is a Christmas star. Around its foot are many parcels with bright Christmas wrapping papers which my coworkers and I made to give each other in Christmas night because Christmas is the time for giving.
In Christmas night, we gather in our office. Our manager and we are pagans, so the celebration is not begun with prayers. We are going to have a party. The funny tunes of Christmas songs are loud with our laughing and smiling faces. Our party is ready, the table is set attractive. We have chicken soup, lot kinds of tropical fruit, red wine, etc. We chorus ‘Merry Christmas’ and drink to everybody's health, happiness and success. During the party, we take many photographs with cute poses.
When the party end, we change to the area of playing game named ‘dancing on paper’. Several couples dance on small papers in five minutes, who put their foot out of the paper is loser. The paper would be smaller and smaller and the last couple is the winner. Rewards are the biggest gifts we have prepared. We have waited long enough for our presents and there is the time for giving them. Next, we participate in singing with karaoke. This is the chance to show our good voice with others so we chose enthusiastically our favorite songs and sing with all our heart.
The celebration finish at 1a.m, some people go their home, others take a short rest at our office chamber to get ready for a new working day. The pleasures of Christmas celebration help our relationship closer like we are living and working under the same roof.

TO BE GLOBAL CITIZENS 'MADE IN VIET NAM'
The phrase ‘Global citizens’ is mentioned more and more by the youth in Viet Nam. What is a global citizen? According to website wikipedia.org, ‘Global citizens’ mean who live and work in many different countries, they may have one or more nationalities. They are people who join hands to make our world better. For Vietnam youth, what do qualities need to become global citizens? In generally, we can classify into three main criterions: global thought, empathy and responsibility, and uneliminate individual identity.
Firstly, to be global citizens, Vietnam youths have to have global visibility and global thought. They can comprehend the world, can know what troubles are under consideration of mankind, what are the opportunities, what are risks. Having global visibility, global citizens could accept and observe differences of the world. Global citizens have to be the master of tools to approach the virtual world. The first tool is information technology and means of communications. The second one is English because most of worldwide issues appear in English. Lacking of English, people can’t know what are happening around them.
Secondly, to be global citizens, Vietnam youths have to empathy and sharing responsibility with general problem of our world such as Earth warming, terror, poverty, etc. Just tiny actions are worth thinking about, for example, at restaurant, we eat up our ordered food because somewhere in the world, there are a lot of people don’t have something to eat or taking rubbish into dustbin to keep our world a little cleaner. Moreover, when somewhere are needing helps, they ready to go and ready for anything to help difficult lives.
Thirdly, Vietnam youths have to understand that globalization isn’t uneliminate individual identity. The world is richer if we bring personal identities into the world. Nowadays, young people are willing to acquire current of different cultures; but, sometimes, they don’t acquire discriminatingly. They absorb alien cultures massively and stand aloof with the tradition values. They have to know that, the highest academic standards are the most tendency toward combine the creams of world with tradition values.
Some people say that Vietnam youths lack of global passport because Vietnam education isn’t recognize on an international scale. This is truly a big handicap of Vietnam youth. Nevertheless, lacking of global passport, Vietnam youth can make our country more beautiful, more powerful by the wholesome lifestyle. They can contribute small but meaningful actions. In order to friends in over the world talk about Vietnam youths, it will be good impression. That is integration and these Vietnam youths fit to be global citizens.

STUDENTS’ LIFE IN THE CONTEXT OF HIGH INFLATION
When people talk about the students’ life, they always say as the hard time for any one because students study a lot, they have to make and keep the relationship with new friends. Especially, they have to learn how to spend a little money received from their family. In the context of high inflation, students’ life seems harder and harder because of increasing price. That is a big problem they have to solve in many ways.
First, they try to spend money in the economical ways such as instead of paying a considerable amount of money to buy new books, they take the copies or rent them from library. Besides that, in an increase in the price of petrol, lots of students change to go to school by bus instead of by their own motorbike. In addition, they ignore to buy new clothes or just buy them at sale shops saving about 5-55 percents of these products. Generally, saving money is the good choice for students maintaining their stable life.
Second, they find part-time jobs to earn money. Most of students choose to be the tutor of children of rich families. About 3-4 time per week, they can get 500000-700000vnd per month. Some others prefer to be a waiter or waitress because this work doesn't require many competences. Apart from the salary for each month, they can receive some tip from open-handed customers. In some case, doing part-time job makes students neglect their study. Yet, doing part-time job help them understand the value of money and get more experience for their future job.
Third, there are many programs and scholarship of universities and companies to stimulate the study of students. Therefore, students become hard studying to win scholarship to pay off their needs and their study.

POWER OF WRITING.
One of my favorite tricks for improving many areas of my life is really simple : I write things down. This is a hugely powerful way to focus our attention, keep track of life, and much more.
On one hand, writing makes the invisible visible. When we are faced with a knotty problem or a difficult situation in life, try writing about it. Just thinking about how to resolve something can end up making us fell more and more stressed as our thoughts will often go around in circles. Setting aside some time to write about it will help us to process emotion, see the problem in a different light, and work our way towards a solution. At any one time, we have myriad thoughts, ideas and insights lodged in our mind, waiting to be released.
On other hand, writing is one way to let our thoughts flow, to take our wherever we need to go. Writing assists us in putting aside our internal censor. It is important for us put inside any self-judgment when we begin to write. Instead write to think, write for the fun of it, write to relieve confusion. Sometime the thinking mind can’t access what the writing mind can.
All we may know the power of writing. How can we put the theory into practice?

An old friend
One afternoon in mid June, the intense heat of sun shine wanted to roast everything. We visited Đa Nang beach, water was deep blue and waves dived as if the heave of the sea rib-cage. Đa Nang sea was limpid and mild as people in the central- my hometown. The trip made strong impression in my memory.
The scenery of sea went into my soul from childhood though poems and songs. And at present, in font of me, the coast was similar the caressing arm because of its curve that made people felt as protected. The right side was the legendary Ngu Hanh Son Mt, the other was firmly Son Tra Mt, pristine Đa Nang beach was awakened by the astonishment of citizens, the white smooth and bashful sands seemed virgin face. Decline of day, the sea-shore was animated because of the frolic playing sound and the cheering for a soccer match without measurable time of children with blur of sand smiles. My toes were touching the first mass of warm sand. The wide one surrounded and stretched far away but I left to pay my attention at the immensity to be seen an old friend of mine. I put my steps into the water and walked along as if to go to the end of heaven and earth. Waves looked as a child, spring to hug my legs and then run away.
From far side of sea, dusk gradually felt, the flaming, tiring sun after a wander day, was slowly hiding behind thick deep blue water. We sat on the sand to talk together and grill some fresh cuttle. A moment later, also from the sky and sea boundary, the moon woke up inch by inch and spread quickly. A gust of breeze ripped the face to make thousands of sparkling streaks liking starry on water. From afar, moon looked as a mantle of fishermen at night and ocean was a giant fishing boat.
It was already past 8 p.m, we drove back home, the cool wind blew on our face, we smelt that the saltiness of ocean. I left the city with blue sea and white sand to join into the bustle life of the city named Uncle Ho. Distance always tell how much I love my country and my sea.

If you are a student and after class, you do a work that is called part-time job. Also, I’m a student and after class,I do a work. But I don’t call that is part-time job. For me, outside the school, the work is one of my another main duty. I love the work because it has a connection with my major and it is an interesting one.
Firstly, I major in English, before that, however, I work for a travel agency near the center of district 1 and my function is air ticket booker. Most of the customers are foreign tourists visiting Viet Nam, they are in all over the world. So, the common language to communicate with them is English. I love English since then and I determined to become an English teacher.
Secondly, do you also want to meet people around the world? It was a great experience, so, I never think I will give up my work, although, learning by doing is not easy for anyone. When I speak to traveler in the sweet voice of East Asian, they always listen carefully. Sometime, they said that: “ Keep smile, please, I really like yours”. These statement are encourage my spirit a lots. Another time, an India active man – Farouk, after he booked ticket, he sent to me an email: “I hope we are going to have an opportunity to meet and have a tea, or a coffee or a pho bo (I love pho) together”.
